Support Groups


The groups offer friendship and support, a short break, time for a chat over a cuppa, information and a variety of speakers and activities

Parent Carers Group

Provides an opportunity for Parent Carers to meet together on a regular basis and offer support and friendships to parents in a similar situations.


We meet on Tuesday mornings every two weeks from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Male Carers Group

Coming to this group you are able to take some time out to meet, chat, share a laugh and learn from each other.

We often have speakers along or go on occasional outing but we always make time to chat with each other. You would be made to feel at most welcome.


The group meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month in the afternoon from 1.30pm—3pm.


Please note: Dementia Support Group, Autism Support Group and Male Carers Group are all North East Support Groups run by our Training and Peer Support Co-Ordinators.

Evening Group

Our new evening group is for carers who can not attend our daytime group due to other commitments.
This will take place every second Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm.


First date is Wednesday 9th September from 6-8pm.

Current Carers Group

Caring for someone can be very rewarding, but also at time be very stressful and demanding. As a result of this carers often feel isolated.


We meet on Wednesday Afternoons every two weeks from 1.30pm –3pm.

Parent Carers of Long Term Conditions

Coming to this group you are able to share your experiences of caring for long term conditions with other parents in a similar caring situation.
It will allow you to take some time out to meet, chat and learn from each other and will allow those who cannot attend any other support groups during the day to attend this evening group. Pop along you are more than welcome.


The group meets on the Last Thursday of the Month in the evenings from 6pm - 8pm.

Autism Parent Support Group

Coming to this group you are able to share your experiences with other parents, in a similar caring situation.
The group also receives information sessions which may benefit their caring role.
Recent sessions include SDS, GIRFEC etc.


The group meets on the 1st Monday of the Month in the mornings from 10am – 12noon.

Royston Support Group

Meet every four weeks on a Tuesday Morning from 10.30am-12noon at Spire view Housing.
